Niels Johnsen Steinsrød:   Born on Løberg in Gjerpen March 23, 1820 by parents John  Johnsen Steinsrød and Kirsten Andersdatter. 

He married July 1, 1849 Anne Eriksdatter Stensaasen, who emigrated in 1847. She is born on Løberg October 4, 1828 by parents Erik Jacobsen Stensaasen and Anne Karine Henriksdatter. They were married at St. Olaf’s by Rev. Martin Sorenson. One of their mothers was living in St. Olaf’s Parish at the time.(1)

They had the following children:    Caroline C (b. 1849 or 1850), John (b. Apr 11, 1852), Elise Marie (b. Sept 9, 1854), Edward (b. Sept 4, 1856), Niels (b. July 14, 1859), Mary A. (b. 1865 ?), Antonette (b. 1871 ?)

According to Ulvestad part II, page 760:    Farmet at Pine Lake, Wisconsin. He was one of the first settlers there. His son Niels works in a shop in Madison, Wisconsin.

1. Niels Johnsen Steinsrod (3-23-1820 to ?) Born on Loberg in Gjerpen. He immigrated on the Salvator in 1843 from Gjerpen and settled in the Town of Delafield. m. Anne Eriksdatter Stensaasen b. on Loberg 10-4-1828 on 7-1-1849.
Her parents were Erik Jacobsen Stensaasen & Anne Karine Henriksdatter. She immigrated in 1847. She died in 1923. According to Ulvestad part II page 760, Niels had a farm at Pine Lake and was one of the first settlers there and his son, Niels, worked in a shop in Madison, Wis.
