Johannes Petersen Baugerød

(bap. 7-29-1798 to 10-16-1846)  Baptized in Gjerpen.  Immigrated from Gjerpen to Town of Oconomowoc on the Washington in 1844.  He was a farmer. He  m. Anne Olsdatter Boe  (abt. 1787 to 9-24-1837), daughter of Ole Olsen Boe & Siri Jermundsdatter on 10-11-1821.  He then married Maren Andersdatter Berberg b. 1789, daugher of Anders Anundsen, on 10-10-1839.  Naeseth wrote that Johannes may have married a third time to Anne Kirstine Petersdatter who immigrated in 1843 (his brother’s wife?), but there is no indication found and we do not believe that he did so.  Johannes is buried in a corner of Holy Innocents Cemetery.

1.  Karen (Carrie) (Caroline) Johannesdatter  (9-30-1822 to 3-15-1905)  Jan Christenson & Naeseth say she immigrated in 1847 with her sister, Sara.  Never married.  She lived with her brother, Ole, in 1880 per census.
1.  Sara (Sarah) Johannesdatter  (3-15-1826 to 11-10-1900)  Born on farm Baugerod.  Jan Christenson & Naeseth say she immigrated in 1847 to Town of Oconomowoc with her sister, Karen and that her parents were Johannes Petersen Baugerud & Anne Olsdatter.  m. Jens Jacobson Rustad (Reistad) b. 1825 the son of Jacob Abrahamsen and Hedevig Jensdatter on 5-18-1852.  Jens Jacobson, the son of Jacob Abrahamson & Hedevig Jensdatter, immigrated from Siljan Parish in 1849 per Jan Christenson.  (See John Jacobson Rustad file for continuation.)
